Phase 1: Flexion Momentum

Hips and knees are at ~90 degrees of flexion. The trunk begins to lean forward, driven concentrically by hip flexors while spinal extensors act eccentrically to control the descent of the torso. The Center of Mass (red dot) moves horizontally forward.
